Congrats to Tim Halder from Seattle who won for the second year in a row. Scott Boettcher took the lead from the start and led all the way to about mile 90 where he dropped due to a foot injury. Alana Prociuk from Canada won the womans race--this was her first 100 mile--and Jamie Gifford and Ron Nicholl earned their 5 year silver buckles. I'd also like to mention Phil Shaw's performance. Remember that name--you will see it a lot more. Young Phil is 17 years old (he turns 18 this next weekend) and he ran a 22:58 for his debut 100 miler. He didn't even look tired at the finish line. I'd like to says thanks to all that were there including the runners and all the volunteers---you all rock!
