How hard will it be to get in? We will maintain a wait list and fill spots as they open up. For some perspective, last year we capped our wait list at 70 people and by July 30 everyone still on the wait list had been offered a spot in the run. As is the case when running these events, good things come to those who are patient and persevere. I suspect we'll be able to accommodate a large majority of those who are interested in running when all is said and done.
We will still have a trail work requirement for entrants. Trail work can be done where it is convenient for the runner. Those proximate to Seattle will have good opportunities to work on the PCT via the Pacific Crest Trail Association.
Entrants will be expected to complete a 50-miler prior to race day (Not prior to entering) or demonstrate adequate experience to finish the run. Completion of any previous 100-miler is adequate experience.
Runners who cancel prior to August 1 will be reimbursed $100. Do not enter if you are not prepared to forfeit the rest of the entry fee if you are unable to run.
